"Hello IBD!"

I was asked to become part of the UK's IBD education team and joined the fabulous Graftons peeps in Tamworth back in January for a weeks worth of education, lots of nails, laughs and a little stress thrown in too with our exams.
I re-certify every 2 years with EzFlow to keep up to date and make sure we are top of our game so it brings more to our education and it means we all are all teaching the same things across the board.  The same happens with IBD.
IBD nail systems is a sister brand to EzFlow both are owned by AII (www.aiibeauty.com) and are also distributed in the UK by Graftons (www.graftons.co.uk)
I already knew quite a lot about some of the products and had worked with the IBD team before at various eventsand trade shows over the years.

My first big discover was that there were even more Just Gel Polish (jgp) shades to play with and that I truly love IBD's sculpting gels. Now the wonder product for everything nails has to be IBD's Power bond, it is a gel Bonder primary designed to be used with jgp but is also amazing at bonding all enhancement products such as hard gels and not forgetting acrylic. If I had to pick my best prep product then Power Bond it is!

When doing any re-certification (ezflow and ibd) we are set home work and tasks before we attend the training. For one of the tasks we had to produce 5 nails using only nail products (so not extras like paint) just gels and acrylic in a theme which would be recognisable to our educator.
Here's a few snap shots of my themed nails.... Can you guess my theme??...
A close up of Mr wolf!

I really enjoyed creating these nails and am often asked by my clients how long they took me to do... The answer to that is a long time! Or in other words around 2-3 days off and 5 evenings.
Next re-certification I think I'm going to start earlier and take my time as it felt very rushed as the time was getting closer.

After a few agonising months wait (whilst all the scores etc. were collated,) we found out our grade level and I am so please that I've become an Elite IBD Educator.

In my next couple of posts I will share some of my recent salon and demo work
